At IKING Group, we continue to provide global customers with tailored insulation solutions that match local construction habits, market standards, and installation practices. Recently, our Costa Rica client shared on-site installation photos of fiberglass wool (commonly called “pink wool”) used for roofing and partition applications. Although this project did not have a specific engineering name, it represents a typical installation scenario widely seen in Central American residential and commercial buildings.
Unlike the common 1.2 m or 1.22 m width fiberglass wool used in many Asian, Middle Eastern, and European markets, the Costa Rica market prefers narrow-format rolls, making installation easier for their roof and internal partition structures.
For this order, the final specification was customized as:
Length: 15.24 m
Width: 0.41 m (cut into three strips from 1.22 m width)
Density: 10 kg/m³
Thickness: 89 mm
Packaging: Plain white bags (no branding), based on the customer’s preference for neutral packing
Since 0.41 m width is not part of standard production, our factory adjusted the cutting lines to precisely split the original 1.22 m product into three equal-width rolls, meeting the customer's installation needs exactly. This is another example of how we provide flexible and fully customized manufacturing support for different regions.

The Costa Rica customer applied our fiberglass wool mainly in:
● Residential and Light Commercial Roofs
Fiberglass wool is installed between metal frame structures to reduce heat transfer and create a more comfortable indoor environment.
Benefits include:
Improved thermal resistance
Reduce heat buildup
Lower energy consumption for cooling

● Internal Partitions
The product is also widely used in gypsum board partitions or lightweight steel frame walls to improve:
Acoustic performance
Indoor comfort
Fire safety

These applications align well with construction habits in Central America, where cost-effective and easy-to-install materials are essential.
The client provided installation diagrams showing:
Clean placement between metal studs
Tight, accurate fit due to the customized 0.41 m width
Quick installation with minimal waste
Excellent recovery and resilience of fiberglass wool after unpacking
Their team appreciated the consistent thickness, stable density, and smooth cutting edges — all of which ensure fast and safe installation on site.
● Customized Production
From width, thickness, density to packaging, we support market-specific customization.
